Our history

One of four sons to a family that has been associated with the property industry for over 150 years, Richard Buxton carried on the family legacy by commencing his career in construction in 1968. In 1975, Richard established Buxton Consolidated, which would then go on to become Buxton Construction in 1988.
 
Since GRC Buxton's establishment, the company has expanded into all facets of property construction, partnering with a range of clients, including private developers, not-for-profit organisations, schools; universities, healthcare; retirement facilities, and various sporting; leisure organisations.
 
Earning a reputation for excellence, GRC Buxton quickly became one of Australia's leading and most trusted large construction companies in Melbourne, winning multiple awards on over $1 billion worth of projects. GRC Buxton has now become a respected name by such industry bodies as the Royal Australian Institute of Architecture, the Australian Institute of Building, and the Urban Development Institute of Australia.
